The Organizers are pleased to announce the 16th edition of the European Carbohydrate Symposium (Eurocarb 16) that will be held in 2011, 3 to 7 July in Sorrento (Naples, Italy) at the Hilton Sorrento Palace Congress Centre.

The tradition of Eurocarb Symposia started in Wien in 1981 and has been followed by 14 other meetings all over Europe. Eurocarb 16 in Sorrento-Naples aims to show the state-of-the-art research on all aspects of Carbohydrate Chemistry and Biology and to stimulate high quality and innovation, inspiring those already working in the field and young scientists approaching Glycoscience.

The Conference will last 5 working days and will include sessions on Enzymatic and Organic Synthesis of Glycoconjugates, New Analytical approaches to Structural Analysis of Glycoconjugates, Glycobiology and Glycomedicine Science, Glyco-biotechnology, Food and Industrial aspect of carbohydrates.

We particularly encourage young researchers to join and present their work, the Scientific Committee will leave open slots to be assigned only to young Glyco-researchers.
