Social Events (included in the registration)
Sunday 3rd at 20.30 Get-together Reception will be offered for all participants and accompanying persons at the panoramic Restaurant S.Antonio of the Hilton Sorrento Palace.
Thursday 7th at 20.30 Social Dinner will be held at the Hilton Sorrento Palace in the typical garden L'Agrumeto.
Social Excursions (not included in the registration)
On Wednesday July 6th, we are glad to propose the following tours in the afternoon, as sessions will finish at 13.00:
- Capri (pick up h. 13.50 Hall of the Congress Centre)
- Pompeii (h.15.00 Hall of the Congress Centre)
- Herculaneum (h.15.00 Hall of the Congress Centre)
- Amalfi Coast (h.15.00 Hall of the Congress Centre)
It is mandatory to book in advance the preferred excursion within June 23rd, 2011.
Participants can log-in their personal file, click for extra services and add the favourite tour .
If you have used a credit card for registration, selected excursion will be charged to the same card.
If you have chosen bank transfer for registration, we expect from you a second bank transfer within June 23rd.

CAPRI
Meeting with English speaking guide in the Hall of Congress Centre and departure by minibuses to Sorrento harbour.
Embarking on the hydrofoil to Capri. Sail across the bay of Naples for the start of an unforgettable afternoon.
Capri is very chic with shops, hotels and restaurants lying along winding streets. The main square Piazza Umberto I has a pretty white church and several open-air cafes. Leading off the square are medieval looking alleyways and arcades full of shops selling the handicrafts of the island, clothing, jewellery made from coral and gold, shoes and ceramics.
Admire the colourful gardens of Augustus overlooking the famed Faraglioni Rocks and Marina Piccola .
Return to Sorrento by hydrofoil and to the Congress Hall by minibuses.

POMPEII
Meeting with English speaking guide in the Hall of Congress Centre and departure by coach to Pompeii.
Pompeii holds an intense fascination for visitors today. Following the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in the year 79 A.D. Pompeii lay buried and forgotten for hundreds of years. The Town is high on the list of Wonders of the World and the excavations begun in the 18th century are still being carried out today.
Our guide will take you slowly throughout some of the ancient streets of Pompeii where you can see the Baths, Forums and Villas built by the prosperous Romans in the year 80 B. C. Marvel at the fabulously preserved frescoes which adorned the walls and floors of the Villas. Even if your interests do not lie in history, this is an archaeological site that you cannot be failed to be impressed by.
Return to Congress Hall by coach.

HERCULANEUM
Meeting with English speaking guide in the Hall of Congress Centre and departure by coach to Herculaneum.
Herculaneum was destroyed along with Pompeii in 79 A.D. and rediscovered in 1709. It was a residential town without Pompeii’s commercial importance, surrounded by the villas of the wealthy Romans. When the catastrophe of 79 A.D. occurred Herculaneum was submerged under a torrent of mud and lava that hardened into a soft tufa ( a Kind of course rock)that preserved many of the timber features and household objects which can be seen today.
A large portion of the old Herculaneum is still buried under the modern town and even today excavations are going on to discover what treasures lie buried under the rock, to the extent that some families are being rehoused so work can continue.
Return to Congree Hall by coach.

AMALFI COAST

It is a stretch of coastline famous around the world for its natural beauty, home of major tourist sites. It takes its name from the town of Amalfi, the heart of the coast not only geographically but also historically and destination of the tour after stopping in Positano to take a photo.
Amalfi is the birthplace of Flavio Gioia, the inventor of the sea compass. The centre is dominated by the impressive staircase and the facade of the Duomo, dedicated to St. Andrew, also famous for its cloister and museum.
